POST

Exhibition of new graduate work held in The Picture Rooms, Dublin. 7th – 13th March 2012. Sets of 15 postcards with one from in each contributor were available for people to buy on the night for €10. Extras will be available on the site soon.

For our first exhibition as a new collective the brief asked us to each communicate the thoughts and feelings we experienced upon graduating college. I chose to make a series of 6 postcards. My main concern was to have fun with image-making and communicate how I felt in a tongue-in-cheek manner. We were free to interpret the brief however we desired so long as at least one part of our piece fit on a traditional A6 postcard. Although meant to be lighthearted, this project was undertaken during a period of unemployment and is therefore deeply personal.
